Hachiman by Insecticides India : Selective Post-Emergence Herbicide
Effective management of mixed weed populations, including grasses, broadleaf weeds, and sedges, is a critical challenge in legume cultivation. Hachiman is a selective, post-emergence herbicide formulated as a pre-mix of two active ingredients to provide broad-spectrum weed control in a single application.
Developed by Insecticides (INDIA) Limited, this product is specifically designed for use in groundnut and soybean crops, helping to reduce weed competition and protect yield potential.
Technical Details and Mode of Action
Technical Content: Quizalofop 7.5% + Imazethapyr 15% EC
Mode of Action: Hachiman is a systemic herbicide that is absorbed by both the roots and foliage of the weeds. It is then translocated through the plant's vascular system (xylem and phloem), accumulating in the meristematic tissues (active growing points). The dual-action formula works by disrupting essential protein and DNA synthesis, leading to the complete cessation of weed growth and eventual death.
Spectrum of Control: Provides effective control over a wide range of annual and perennial grasses, broadleaf weeds, and sedges.
Crop Rotation Safety: Formulated to offer good safety for most subsequent crops, allowing for flexibility in crop rotation planning.
Recommended Usage and Target Crops
For optimal results, Hachiman should be applied when weeds are actively growing. Its systemic action ensures that the entire weed, including the root system, is controlled.
Target Crops: Groundnut and Soybean.
Recommended Dosage: 175 ml per acre.
A Comprehensive Weed Management Solution
By combining two distinct modes of action, Hachiman offers a convenient and effective single-shot solution for managing complex weed infestations. Its ability to provide long-lasting control helps to keep fields clean during critical crop growth stages, supporting healthier plant development and maximizing operational efficiency.
