Zampro Fungicide by BASF
Zampro® from BASF is a specialized fungicide engineered to combat persistent fungal diseases in key horticultural crops. It is formulated to provide growers with a novel tool for managing Downy Mildew and Late Blight, two of the most challenging diseases affecting Grapes, Cucurbits, Tomato, and Potato. This product represents an advanced approach to crop protection, focusing on effective disease control and contributing to resistance management strategies.
Key Features and Mode of Action
Zampro fungicide offers a dual mode of action to deliver robust and reliable performance. Its formulation is designed for high efficacy against infectious stages of oomycetes, providing a strong defense for valuable crops.
Advanced Disease Control: Specifically targets Downy Mildew and Late Blight with a new mode of action, making it a valuable component in an integrated pest management (IPM) program.
Dual-Action Formula: Works by inhibiting zoo-spore formation and release, effectively stopping the spread of the fungus. It also disrupts the energy supply within the fungal cells and causes cell wall lysis, leading to comprehensive control.
Effective Distribution: The formulation features high adsorption and redistribution properties, ensuring thorough coverage on the plant surface.
Excellent Rainfastness: Remains effective even after rainfall, with a rainfast period of approximately two hours, providing dependable protection in varied weather conditions.
User-Friendly Formulation: Available as a user-friendly Suspension Concentrate (SC) that disperses easily in water for convenient application.
Application Guidelines
For optimal results, Zampro should be applied prophylactically (preventatively) before the onset of disease. Adherence to the recommended dosage and Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) is critical for crop safety and efficacy.
Grapes: To manage Downy Mildew, apply at a rate of 400 gm per acre in 200 liters of water. The Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) is 34 days.
Tomato: For the control of Late Blight, apply at a rate of 400 gm per acre in 200 liters of water. The Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) is 3 days.
Cucurbits: To control Downy Mildew, apply at a rate of 400 gm per acre in 200 liters of water. The Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) is 3 days.
Potato: For managing Late Blight, apply at a rate of 400 gm per acre in 200 liters of water. The Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) is 32 days.
