Galileo Sensa by Corteva
Galileo Sensa by Corteva is a systemic fungicide that combines two distinct modes of action to provide both preventive and curative control of critical diseases in paddy and chilli. This formulation is engineered for effective disease management, helping to protect crop health and secure yield potential through its advanced redistribution properties within the plant.
Key Features & Benefits
Dual-Action Efficacy: Combines two active ingredients to deliver both preventive (protective) and curative action, making it a versatile tool for disease control.
Broad-Spectrum Control: Effectively manages key diseases such as leaf, stem, and neck blast in paddy, and anthracnose, wet rot, and powdery mildew in chilli.
Advanced Systemic Movement: Features excellent systemic and translaminar properties, allowing for thorough distribution within the plant to protect new growth and ensure comprehensive coverage.
Enhanced Crop Health & Yield: Contributes to healthier, disease-free crops, leading to improved grain filling, better grain quality, and reduced milling losses in paddy.
Resistance Management Tool: The dual-mode-of-action formulation makes it a valuable component in an Integrated Disease Management (IDM) program to help manage fungicide resistance.
Technical & Application Details
Active Ingredients: Picoxystrobin + Tricyclazole
Mode of Action: Features a dual mode of action: Picoxystrobin inhibits fungal mitochondrial respiration (QoI), while Tricyclazole acts as a melanin biosynthesis inhibitor (MBI), preventing fungal penetration and spore formation.
Target Crops & Diseases:
Paddy (Rice): Leaf Blast, Neck Blast, Panicle Blast, Stem Blast
Chilli: Anthracnose (Colletotrichum capsici), Wet Rot (Choanephora cucurbitarium), Powdery Mildew (Leveillula taurica)
Recommended Dosage:
Paddy & Chilli: 400 ml per acre (1000 ml per hectare).
Application Guidance:
For optimal results, apply preventively before the disease spreads.
Paddy (Leaf Blast): Spray at the first appearance of disease spots.
Paddy (Neck Blast): Spray during the panicle emergence stage (5-10% emergence) and before flowering for effective control.
Ensure thorough coverage using recommended spray equipment. Always use a fresh solution and avoid mixing with alkaline products. Refer to and follow the complete instructions and safety precautions on the official product label.
